The police were transporting Eddie Brock and Cletus Cassidy to prison when a gang of thugs shot out the wheels to the police van. They killed the 2 cops driving and opened the door to the back. They cut open Cletus's straight jacket and took him down into the sewer, leaving Brock behind. Using his brute strength, Eddie ripped apart his straight jacket, walked over to the open sewer lid, and jumped inside. When his feet hit the ground, Eddie Brock felt the symbiot, Venom, reform over himself and saying, "Carnage can't escape us!"
